The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County, Visit Hopkinsville, and Milkweed Health & Harmony Emporium will celebrate the work of psychic Edgar Cayce on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Join us downtown for a day full of FREE activities that center around Edgar Cayce’s roots in Christian County and the major impact he continues to make throughout the world.

Born in Christian County in 1877, Edgar Cayce displayed great gifts of clairvoyance that he used to help thousands of people overcome health and other problems. Widely known as the “Sleeping Prophet,” Cayce is credited at being an early force in holistic medicine and in the New Age movement. His lifetime work continues to provide healthy living goals, spiritual ideals, and life lessons today.

Special guests Sidney and Nancy Kirkpatrick, Cayce biographers, and other celebrity Cayce scholars will join us virtually to share an in-depth video tour of Christian County sites connected to the Cayce story that had a profound effect on his work. The video will play in the Pennyroyal Area Museum all day. Stop in for a little or a long while to learn more from these experts.

There are so many opportunities to enjoy throughout the day! Tour the Pennyroyal Area Museum and our permanent exhibit dedicated to Edgar Cayce, grab a Cayce-inspired snack, and pick up books and health products in The Vault by Planters Bank shop in our lobby. Learn about healing stones and their effects at the Chakra Rock Bar sponsored by Visit Hopkinsville. Get a fairy garden kit (while supplies last) to create your very own fairy retreat at your home. Take the Edgar Cayce Cell Phone Tour to travel to local sites and learn more about his life in Hopkinsville. The tour concludes at his gravesite in Riverside Cemetery where you can pay your respects and leave a note in our guestbook.

In addition to our all-day offerings, we will also have special programs throughout the day:

  • 10am: Morning Setting Up Exercises

  • 11am: Make-Your-Own Salve with Janet Bravard

  • 12pm: Plant Healing Herbs with Christian County Master Gardeners

  • 1pm: All About Cayce Downtown Walking Tour with Alissa Keller

  • 2pm: Learn to play Pit, a popular card game invented by Cayce, with Brett Pritchett

  • 3:45pm: Guided Group Meditation at the Pennyroyal Area Museum

Our friends at Milkweed Health & Harmony Emporium will also offer tea tastings with a special Cayce blend, short Reiki sessions with Michelle Rodriguez Cook, and other healing experiences from 12pm until 6pm.
