Some 450 people gathered Saturday to help make the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast a success. Club President Toby Hudson says it was great to see all the familiar and new faces.
President-Elect Nikki Chambers adds the event would not be possible without volunteers and sponors.
Key Club, a high school civic club sponsored by Kiwanis, has volunteers from Hopkinsville and Christian County Highs as well as University Heights Academy helping at the event. The club raised over $5,000 with the breakfast, which Chambers says will go to good use.
Hudson says there is always the next fundraiser as an opportunity to help children.
Donations can be made to Kiwanis all year by mailing a check to PO Box 470, Hopkinsville, KY 42241 or by visiting hopkinsvillekiwanis.com.
